William Lott is a Los Angeles-based filmmaker with a dedicated passion for storytelling, specifically horror and dark comedy.

In 2020, he founded a genre-focused production company,

                                           , through which he's directed and produced numerous projects, including his short film, "BOTTOM", a tongue-in-cheek horror film that screened across the world and was later acquired by and released on streaming platform Dekkoo. Through Backlott, he's also directed, produced, and edited his most notable work yet, "WHAT ABOUT ME?", a dark humored short series that premiered at the 10th annual Bentonville Film Festival (2024), where it won "Best Episodic". "WHAT ABOUT ME?" is now available online to stream at home. 

 

His latest project, "NAILS", a heart-pounding slasher film, is currently awaiting its festival run and is scheduled to have its world premiere at SCREAMFEST HORROR FILM FESTIVAL this fall.
