William Lott is a Los Angeles-based filmmaker with a dedicated passion for storytelling, and a fervor for directing horror and dark comedy.

In 2020, he founded a genre-focused production company,

                                           , through which he's directed and produced numerous projects, including his debut short film, "BOTTOM", a horror film that screened across the world and was later acquired by and released on streaming platform Dekkoo. Through Backlott, he's also directed and produced his most notable work yet, "WHAT ABOUT ME?", a dark humored episodic that premiered at the 10th annual Bentonville Film Festival (2024), where it won "Best Episodic". "WHAT ABOUT ME?" continues to screen in festivals around the country. 

 

His latest project, "NAILS", a heart-pounding slasher film, is currently in post production.
